CHAMPVA, My HealtheVet and Online Prescriptions
Meds by Mail users can now use My HealtheVet to refill prescriptions
If you are a beneficiary in the Civilian Health and Medical Program of the Department of Veterans Affairs (CHAMPVA) and are eligible to use Meds by Mail (MbM), My HealtheVet's Pharmacy feature is available for you to use. You can refill, review, and track your prescriptions online.
To use MbM for your prescriptions, you cannot have any other health insurance with prescription coverage, including Medicare Part D. MbM is an excellent benefit for CHAMPVA beneficiaries because there is no annual deductible, no cost share, and prescriptions are delivered directly to your home.
Refill or Track Your VA Prescriptions
To register for a My HealtheVet account, CHAMPVA beneficiaries should start with the 'Register' button at the top right of the Home Page. Next, select CHAMPVA Beneficiary and/or VA Patient. Once your registration is verified by My HealtheVet, you will be given a Basic Account.
Your identification information (full name, Social Security number, date of birth [DOB] and birth sex) must match your VA/DoD records. Once your account is connected to your VA/DOD records, it can be upgraded to the Premium level. Find out if you can upgrade your Basic account to Premium by selecting the Upgrade button on the welcome banner near the top of any page. Upgrading to Premium is no cost to you.
When you sign in to My HealtheVet, you can manage your VA prescription refills online. Prescription tracking information is available a day or two after refills are mailed from the VA Consolidated Mail Order Pharmacy (CMOP).
