Find Your Vaccine Record

Review or share your vaccine records on My HealtheVet.

Veteran viewing vaccine record with doctorDo you need to share your vaccination records with a non-VA provider? Or need to know when you had your last COVID-19 or flu shot? Whether you’re seeing a doctor in the community or planning for travel, there are many reasons you may want to review or share your vaccination record. Your vaccine information is available online with My HealtheVet. 

How to find your vaccine record

Follow these steps to get your vaccine record online:

  • Sign in to My HealtheVet.

  • Click on Health Records.

  • Click on either VA Blue Button Report or VA Health Summary. 

    • You can choose either or both.

  • For VA Blue Button: Select a date range to include in your report. For the type of information, select VA Immunizations.

    • After you submit your request, you’ll receive links to a PDF and a plain text version of your report to download.

  • For VA Health Summary: Select Immunizations from the table of contents. You can’t edit the date range or type of vaccine information you want to include in the report.

    • After you submit your request, you’ll receive links to a PDF and an XML file version of your report to download. Each file contains a list of your immunizations.

After January 2025, you'll need to use a Login.gov or ID.me account to sign in to My HealtheVet and other VA tools. Sign in or create an account

You must be a VA patient to access some parts of your VA health record. If you’re not enrolled in VA health care, you can apply now. Learn how to apply for VA health care

If you've been vaccinated outside of VA

If you received a vaccination outside of VA, remember to update your VA health record on My HealtheVet. Keep your VA health care team up to date by sending a Secure Message. If you can, attach a scanned image or a smartphone photograph of your vaccine card. Include the front and back. Make sure the following is easy to read:

  • The type of vaccine you got,

  • Where you got it, and

  • The date(s) of your vaccine
